[Title] Distancing-Free Mask as a Social Infrastructure
that Eliminates Lockdown
[Abstract]
In this session, “Distancing-Free Mask”, which eliminates the lock down, and
the social infrastructure using this mask will be discussed.
This
mask simultaneously achieves the four items, (1) complete screening of
viruses, (2) lightweight body, (3) easy breathing, and (4) inexpensive
manufacturing costs, at a high level by precise control of pressure and flow
rate inside the helmet. The wearer of this mask, just like the antibody
carrier, cannot be infected itself with the virus, nor infect others with the
virus. (Japanese Patent Application 2020-113097).
Currently,
a combination of "new lifestyle" and "Lockdown (= going out
control, behavior control, business control, economic regulation)" is
being taken around the world. Since there is no prospect of developing a
vaccine or treatment method, there is no prospect of leaving the current
situation.
Distributing
the "Distance-Free Mask" to each citizen means having a simple and
reliable means of converging the infection. Even under the worst infection
spread situation, people can go out as long as they wear "Distance-Free
Mask". Organizers of events such as the Tokyo Olympics need only take
measures in anticipation of situations where masks are mandatory.

[Title] Trend of Sensors Development and Their
Applications during the Covid-19 Pandemic
[Abstract]
The development of science and technology enables the manufacture of sensors
that is smaller, more lightweights, cheaper, and better performance than the
conventional. This resulted in increasing the use of sensors in many
applications, such as household appliances, research equipments, automotive
industries, medical equipments, and other equipments. The role of sensors, in
the last 10 years, are more important because people want to have a better
life, e.g. safer, healthier, and more comfortable. In this session will be
informed trend of sensors development and their applications in life now and
in the future, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.

[Title] Measurement
control, estimation, and diagnostic technology that connects academia and
industry
[Abstract]
In recent years, due to the diversification of data and the sophistication of
computing, the development of intelligent measurement control, estimation,
and diagnostic technology that makes full use of IT and AI has been promoted.
The purpose of this session is to know the latest needs in the industrial
world and share information between the academic world and the industrial
world through the presentation of applied technologies from these basic
theories. We are looking for a wide range of presenters from universities and
companies regarding research results related to measurement control,
estimation, and diagnostic technology.

[Title] Sensing system and its application to support safety
and security
[Abstract]
In Japan, the declining birthrate and aging population have become a serious
problem in recent years. In addition, people's values are diversifying due to
the rapid progress of globalization. Under these situations, a simple and
easy-to-use interface for everyone is needed in order to realize comfortable,
secure and safe society. In particular, input interfaces such as sensors are
used in various fields. For example, due to the influence of COVID-19
pandemic, there increases a need for non-contact sensor that operates with
simple operations. In a room in house, a voice interface such as Alexa is
used. Outdoors, a vehicle equips with automatic recognition and automatic
braking system. In a factory, a mobile robot with a function of recognition
is introduced, in order to increase productivity against declining birthrate.
Thus, a sensing technology that supports human safety and security is more
and more important in various fields. In this section, studies on sensing
systems and its applications are invited in a wide range of fields.
